(ESPN) Monday is Randy Moss’ birthday, and he had an announcement to commemorate the occasion: He wants to end his brief retirement and return to professional football in 2012.
“I wanna play football,” Moss said on UStream on Monday morning. “Your boy is going to come back here and play some football, so I’m really excited. I had some things I had to adjust in my life.”
His agent, Joel Segal, wouldn’t go into his client’s available options.
“Randy and I have discussed it,” Segal said of Moss coming out of retirement. “He still has his fire and he’s looking forward to playing football. He’s excited.”
Moss posted on his Twitter page: “Now back to biz!! There’s good an bad an u have to b ready for both! its in gods hand now.”
We all knew this was coming sooner or later… it came as a pretty big shocker, to say the least, when he retired last off season with still a couple of playing years left in him… now the question is will any team take a chance on this guy who carries plenty of off-field issues… I’d say you be crazy not too… bring him back to the Vikes now that Chilly is gone for all I care… I don’t give a shit what happened with him two years ago saying he wouldn’t feed the food from Buca to his dog… Randy is one of the greatest Vikings to ever play the game… and probably in my top 3 WRs ever… Its about winning and last time I checked, Randy is a highly valuable addition to any team
